The REason

As a daughter of parents from different cultures, I never quite fit in one box. The more we moved—first as a family, and later on my own—I realized that the question of “what are you?” followed me everywhere. Luckily, I found a sense of belonging in communities where others had similar stories, whether through embassies, clubs, international schools, or study abroad. But what if you can’t find one?

The Goal

For my grad school thesis, I set out to create a space for real understanding and support through the multicultural community. A space for dialogue. A space to help people navigate their mixed identities better, connect meaningfully with fellow kindred spirits, experience a sense of relief, and ultimately have a group to which they know they belong.
